I don't now, after which crash happened, but my bookmarks.html has
6MB now. I've put the file on ftp server
ftp://tapik.buchtovi.cz/pub/linux/mozilla/bookmarks.html.buggy .
The big problem of this bug is start time of the mozilla. 3 hours on Intel PII
400MHz with 256MB SDRAM !!!
The problem may be in bookmarks import, because only few days ago I imported
bookmarks from netscape and the old version of Mozilla.
I have mozilla M17.

Same here, although the file grew to > 100 MB...
Houston, we've got a problem...

Here's the start of the file (it was taking waaaay to long to ftp).
Looks like the same entry was being added repeatedly to the file:

Mine keeps growing every time I exit. It's duplicating entries. I think the
first time I ran today's build, it grew to 3M. Started with a fresh bookmark
file and I'm watching it grow with every start/exit. But not like that first time.

This is what I see...
I have saved a previous bookmarks.html file aside. Removed .mozilla to start
clean. Got the new default bookmark file. Everything apears fine, exiting does
not cause the bookmark file to grow.
Then I imported my saved bookmarks.html into the current file. The imported file
has a personal toolbar folder in it. In the UI, it appears that the personal
toolbar folder from the imported file has been merged into the current files'
personal toolbar folder. I delete the duplicates. Removed some other folders I
didn't need. Close and exit.
Look in the new bookmarks.html and there are two personal toolbar folders. Both
the same.
Start mozilla and exit. There are now 4 personal toolbar folders. All the same.
Start mozilla and exit. There are now 8 personal toolbar folders. All the same.
Etc, etc...
It's gets big pretty fast.

I just checked in a fix which I believe might help with this bug. Marking
fixed, please test... (naturally, you'll need to start out with a non-corrupted
bookmarks file).

Kenneth J. Dowling: would you please attach your bookmarks file [the one that
will cause the doubling] bug 69009 is about to undo this patch.

I'll attach a bookmark file, but I have no idea if it was the one I had
previously tested this with. It's an old netscape bookmark file I had saved at
some point (It might even be an old mozilla bookmark file). I believe the
problem was duplicated with any imported bookmark file that already had a
personal toolbar folder in it. ie any netscape/mozilla bookmark file that was
imported into the current bookmark file.
