User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

The problem is that this version of firefox does not allow you to enter upper and lower case letters for log in. It defaults it to all lowercase and some websites will not allow you to use all lower case letters and numbers for log in. This needs to be fixed so people can use it to use those sites.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to a site that doesn't allow all lower case log in
2.enter the normal way for the log in
3.watch the browser switch it to all lower case.
Actual Results:
It will not allow you to access your account using the browser.

Expected Results:
it will not allow you to access your account when you use such a page.

It should have left the entry alone and done nothing to the log in id.
Can you try to start Firefox in safe mode, and see if you can enter uppercase? If not, create a new profile, and try there. Can you also give an example site that does this?

The only thing that made it do what it was suppose to do was to create a new profile for firefox. It did it in safe or regular mode. The only fix I found was to create a profile. www.muskingumlibrary.org is one site that it does it on before i created a new profile.
This one should be marked as a duplicate of bug #499649.
