We'd like to take a look at what people search for or what articles people look at on SUMO when coming from the download.html (the page one sees when downloading Firefox from the en-US site). To do so, we need to update the link to SUMO from http://support.mozilla.com/ to a new page that will only be linked to from download.html: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page+1 Thanks!
Just to make sure I'm clear, you just want to change the SUMO link in the bottom left to point to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page+1? If so, I can do that myself in kubla. Once you confirm, I'll make it happen within the next 24 hrs.
Yes. Just for about 2 weeks and then we'll look at the data and decide what to do from there.
Yes that's exactly what we would like to update. Thanks!
Just pushed the new link through kubla. I'll need someone to check the link in about 30 minutes to verify that everything is the way you want it.

Is this permanent? download.html is still pointing to Firefox+Support+Home+Page+1.
Probably not, it looks like user marketing is now run by Jane and this kind of stuff can be done with the new website testing system so I'll follow up with her and Blake.
If you need a new link put in there, just let me know what it should be and I'll handle it. (probably would be best to file a new bug for that, though)

It can just point to http://support.mozilla.com/ (or if you do locale detection magic, http://support.mozilla.com/%locale%). Let me know if you prefer a new bug or if you are fine with just changing it on the fly. Thanks!
