I'm not sure exactly which reftest does this, or what exactly it's doing, but if you do a complete reftest run and minimize the window when it starts, somewhere around test 2955/3718, the reftest window abruptly unminimizes itself. Reftests shouldn't be manipulating the window enough to do that. This is the behavior on Linux with Metacity window manager, when the window is on the current virtual desktop. When the window is not on the current virtual desktop, for me it stays minimized but its taskbar entry starts flashing. Other OSes / other WMs might be different yet again. Possibly related to bug 465096?
