Please note, for this bug and any other bug that talks about binding removal:
since bindings can implement interfaces, they can't just be "removed". We need
to decide whether to support binding removal at all, only for bindings that
don't implement interfaces, or what.

Until that issue is solved, this bug blocks bug 119078, right?

Not particularly... The bug on that issue (which may not be filed yet, mind
you) should block all of these.

XBL is now disabled in Firefox (Bug 1583314) and is in the process of being removed from Gecko (Bug 1566221), so closing bugs requesting changes to its implementation as wontfix.
