Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090804 IceCat/3.5.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090804 IceCat/3.5.2
All I have to do is hit Ctrl-D or select "Bookmark This Page" from the menu and it crashes every time. If I start in safe mode, the bookmark dialogue comes up, but then when I try to select a folder in the bookmarks file hierarchy it crashes every time.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.a. Select "Bookmark This Page" either from menu or with Ctrl-D
1.b. Or in safe mode, try to expand bookmarks file hierarchy in bookmark pop up dialogue
Actual Results:
Firefox Crashes
Expected Results:
Create a bookmark.

We'll need a stacktrace or crash ID. I suggest you test in Firefox rather than IceCat first. Report it downstream to them if you can't reproduce in Firefox.

same as bug 512940?
"same as bug 512940?"
That does sound like the same bug.
Several other people in Arch Linux are seeing the same bug, who appear to be using regular Firefox.
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=78726
I am also having the same issue. In my case, when I click on the arrow for choosing the folder where to place the bookmark, firefox crashes.
Additionally, when saving images or pages, I get the following error, and the save dialog does not show up:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80570016 (NS_ERROR_XPC_GS_RETURNED_FAILURE) [nsIJSCID.getService]" nsresult: "0x80570016 (NS_ERROR_XPC_GS_RETURNED_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/contentAreaUtils.js :: getTargetFile :: line 451" data: no]
Looks like I am having exactly the same issue as in bug 512940
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=512940
I will post on that bug the trace that I was able to get.

Is anybody who is experiencing this crash not using system SQLite? You can determine this by going to about:buildconfig and looking for "--enable-system-sqlite" under "Configure arguments".
Downgrading to sqlite 3.6.16 (from 3.6.17) solved the problem.
