Account Setting UI: "Mark it as deleted" should stick on the Server Settings Used 09-05-08-M18 commercial build' 1) Create new IMAP mail account. 2) Change the default delete mode from the default "Move it to the Trash folder" to "Mark as deleted" 3) Relaunch seamonkey and delete the messages, all the delete functionality will perform as expected, but the Server Settings UI not reflect the change. 4)Actual Results: After go back to check the Account settings/Server Settings, the Server Settings UI should set to "Mark as deleted", but it sets back to "Move it to the Trash folder". Expected results: "Mark it as deleted" of the Server Settings should stick from the Server Setting UI.

I think this is actually may be an issue of bug 51546... when I tried this, if I changed delete model then exited/relaunched and came back to check the account settings, it reverted back to the MoveToTrash only if the top fields weren't displaying. If I cancelled the Account Settings dialog again and reopened it, the setting was properly displayed at MarkAsDeleted and marked X when I deleted a message.
Karen, you said when you relaunch it still uses the Imap Delete model. Does it still use it after opening and closing the account manager?

this is caused by the same thing that causes #51546 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 51546 ***
