If a line begins with a   that is followed by an image, the image appears 
on the second line rather than on the same line as the  , if the line is 
within a container that is more narrow than the combined width of the   and 
the image.  A test case is worth a thousand words...

for reasons I cannot fathom, this is actually what Nav and IE do.  So we're 
already compatible.  Woo-hoo!
