I'm going to unhide this bug in the hopes that more people seeing the symptoms might collectively come up with an answer. These are very strange symptoms. If you had no connection at all, ever, that would be one thing. If it was just your computer, that'd be another. But two separate computers that work fine for a while and then decide to stop connecting seems a little odd.
You are both in the same location I assume -- have you used another program (such as IE) to verify that your computer is still connected to the internet? Because Firefox is "dead" I assume that's the problem rather than your house's network connection, but since it's two separate computers it's worth asking.
What plugins and addons do you and your wife have installed, and what versions? Both are listed on the Add-ons dialog (found on the Tools menu).
Are there any particular pages that seem to be involved when you find Firefox hung up? Especially any that you and your wife both encounter?

TaskManager so you can use firefox again

addons

as for addons in my wifes pc she does not have any .. and it does not matter what page it is, its what ever web page we are trying to goto at the time it just sits there and does not goto the page its like the whole browser is not seeing the internet.

The third picture isn't very useful, unfortunately -- the "Get addons" tab only shows recommendations from our site, not what you have installed. But since your wife says she doesn't have any I'm more interested in what you've got in the "Plugins" tab -- because I know you've got some whether you think you do or not. The task manager screenshot, for instance, shows you've got Java installed. I see jusched running so hopefully you're up to date with it, but Java has been known to hang up Firefox. Unless you need it for some on-line games you might try disabling it (from that Plugin tab) and see if that helps. You're also pretty low on usable memory, with most of it seeming to go to that "client.exe" for Ispania. Do the hangs tend to happen less when that isn't running?
When you say "it's like the whole browser is not seeing the internet" you mean the browser is otherwise working fine? If you open the "Organize Bookmarks" window from the Bookmarks menu that works? Opening a local file like "file:///C:/" will show you your local file system and the browser is responsive as long as you don't try to load a remote URL?
