User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 When I try to print _any_page_whatsoever_, Firefox will open the Print dialog, but will then not print, or generate a preview. (It doesn't actually appear to be sending a print command anywhere, as the printer does not receive a document to process in the print queue.) It will, however, save the page as a PDF. (However, as far as I am aware, this is a different process, using a different mechanism, not relying on the print driver....) I have been able to replicate this behaviour on both my main printer -- a Lexmark c510dtn -- and a Samsung SCX-4200. It therefore does not appear to be the print driver that is at fault. I have restarted Firefox, with the same result. I have not, however, restarted my Mac (a 2009 Mac Mini, with 4GB of RAM). I have also tried this on a plethora of pages: again, with the same result. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Command P (...or File -> Print...). 2. Hit <Print> button. 3. Silence. Actual Results: Nothing. Expected Results: Lots of noise, and pieces of paper! about:buildconfig Source Built from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.1/rev/0da982f65d37 Build platform target powerpc-apple-darwin9.2.0 Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags gcc-4.0 -arch ppc gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5484) -I/usr/X11/include -Wall -W -Wno-unused -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -W -Wno-long-long -gdwarf-2 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -fno-strict-aliasing -fpascal-strings -fno-common -pthread -I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/Developer/Headers/FlatCarbon -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -O2 g++-4.0 -arch ppc gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5484) -I/usr/X11/include -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Woverloaded-virtual -Wsynth -Wno-ctor-dtor-privacy -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -Wcast-align -Wno-invalid-offsetof -Wno-long-long -gdwarf-2 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -fno-strict-aliasing -fpascal-strings -fno-common -fshort-wchar -pthread -I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/Developer/Headers/FlatCarbon -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -O2 Configure arguments --target=powerpc-apple-darwin9.2.0 --with-macos-sdk=/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk --enable-application=browser --enable-update-channel=release --enable-update-packaging --disable-tests --enable-official-branding Source Built from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.1/rev/0da982f65d37 Build platform target i386-apple-darwin9.2.0 Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags gcc-4.0 -arch i386 gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5484) -I/usr/X11/include -Wall -W -Wno-unused -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -W -Wno-long-long -gdwarf-2 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -fno-strict-aliasing -fpascal-strings -fno-common -pthread -I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/Developer/Headers/FlatCarbon -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -O2 g++-4.0 -arch i386 gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5484) -I/usr/X11/include -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Woverloaded-virtual -Wsynth -Wno-ctor-dtor-privacy -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -Wcast-align -Wno-invalid-offsetof -Wno-long-long -gdwarf-2 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -fno-strict-aliasing -fpascal-strings -fno-common -fshort-wchar -pthread -I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/Developer/Headers/FlatCarbon -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -O2 Configure arguments --target=i386-apple-darwin9.2.0 --with-macos-sdk=/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk --enable-application=browser --enable-update-channel=release --enable-update-packaging --disable-tests --enable-official-branding
