When I try to print _any_page_whatsoever_, Firefox will open the Print dialog, but will then not print, or generate a preview. (It doesn't actually appear to be sending a print command anywhere, as the printer does not receive a document to process in the print queue.)
It will, however, save the page as a PDF. (However, as far as I am aware, this is a different process, using a different mechanism, not relying on the print driver....)
I have been able to replicate this behaviour on both my main printer -- a Lexmark c510dtn -- and a Samsung SCX-4200. It therefore does not appear to be the print driver that is at fault.
I have restarted Firefox, with the same result. I have not, however, restarted my Mac (a 2009 Mac Mini, with 4GB of RAM). I have also tried this on a plethora of pages: again, with the same result.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Command P (...or File -> Print...).
2. Hit <Print> button.
3. Silence.
Actual Results:
Nothing.
Expected Results:
Lots of noise, and pieces of paper!
