518423 - Cannot use primary UI to add new bookmark for web pages with friendly URLs that are redirected

For any given web address (friendly  URL) that is being automatically redirected to some other web address (complex URL), it is impossible to add a new bookmark for the friendly URL using the primary Firefox UI (main Browser UI).

Example: www.getfirefox.com (friendly, memorable, never-changing URL) redirects automatically to http://www.mozilla-europe.org/de/firefox/ (complex URL which might change any time if the web site authors so please)
Try to add a new bookmark for the friendly URL (www.getfirefox.com) - it's not possible from FF main browser UI.

Actual behaviour:
- cannot add the bookmark for the short & friendly URL with primary browser UI

Expected behaviour:
- provide some way of adding a new bookmark from primary UI for any given URL that the user needs to bookmark.

A basic fix for this would be to fix Bug 405795 - Can't access all bookmark properties from location bar yellow star ("Edit this bookmark" popup, cannot change Keyword, Description, Location).

If all bookmark properties were somehow accessible from the reduced "edit this bookmark" star panel dialogue (expand on demand, as proposed in bug 405795), user could edit the Location/URL property and replace the complex URL with the friendly URL.
