I frequently get these errors when downloading. Double clicking causes the download to do something (seems to download a little bit) and then it works. I'm not sure how reproducible the problem is.
Are you on trunk or branch? I see no other additional information other than your OS.

How did you avoid your UA getting autoposted?
I've seen this on trunk and on 3.5
Just saw this again on 3.6

I was able to reliably reproduce this when downloading a chrome dev channel .dmg. Digging around a bit it looks like it failing when testing whether the launch program is executable. The launch program it is checking is "file://localhost/Applications/Minefield.app/Contents/MacOS" which doesn't make much sense. I'm not sure what would cause this as I was digging around without any debug info.
