I'm sorry to have to ask this, but it has turned out that qm-crash-ubuntu01 is simply not serving our needs. We've tracked the issues down to some specific incompatibilities between the automation and the Ubuntu OS itself. We'd like to replace this VM with a centos 5 vm. Bob (cc'd) has more information about the specifics of the issues we hit. The qm-crash-ubuntu01 vm is currently not being used, so you are free to take it down whenever is convenient.

i've created a new VM called qm-crash-linux01. It is running CentOS 5.0. The username is root with the same password as the old crash user. I've also added your key to the VM.
