1/ go to https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ 2/ let the tests runs Result: DivX® Web Player DivX Web Player version 1.4.0.233 Potentially Vulnerable I am on Linux, I do not use the DivX plugin, I think the checking page is wrongly testing my Divx compatibility through Totem: About:plugins DivX® Web Player Filename: /usr/lib/totem/gstreamer/libtotem-mully-plugin.so DivX Web Player version 1.4.0.233
I have the actual Divx player (on Windows), and the plugins page is also claiming that I have an old version, when DivX's own updater says I'm current. DivX Web Player File: npdivx32.dll Version: 1.4.3.4 DivX Web Player version 1.4.3.4 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled video/divx DivX Video Files divx, div Yes DivX Player Netscape Plugin File: npDivxPlayerPlugin.dll Version: 6.1.0.0 npdivxplayerplugin MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/divxplayer-plugin npdivxplayerplugin scr Yes

(In reply to comment #0) Pascal, I think this was fixed with Bug#520041. Can you reload the page and verify?
I still get the error plus a new one about VLC via Totem being outdated: DivX® Web Player DivX Web Player version 1.4.0.233 Outdated Version VLC Multimedia Plugin (compatible Totem 2.26.1) The Totem 2.26.1 plugin handles video and audio streams. Outdated Version
The page is still claiming my (actual) Windows DivX plugin is outdated, but is now linking to the Mac download section on DivX.com (before it wasn't linking to anything). Maybe the Windows/Mac plugins have different version numbers?
(In reply to comment #3) Can you go to about:plugins scroll down to your DivX Totem plugin. Can you paste the File name: here? Also, looking over the other "File name" values on the page are there any totems besides "libtotem-cone-plugin.so", "libtotem-mully-plugin.so", "libtotem-narrowspace-plugin.so", and "libtotem-gmp-plugin.so"
