User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3

I have looked at my Options in the Tools menu and I do NOT have the "when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" box checked off, but EVERY time I open a new tab, it immediately switches to it. This only started happening a few days ago, when I upgraded MozillaFirefox. I do NOT want it to switch. What should I do to fix this?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new tab
2. Toggle the option "switch to new tab when opening a new tab"

Actual Results:
Switches to new tab

Expected Results:
With box not checked, was not expecting to be switched to new tab

Happens in version 3.5.3 and 3.0.14
How do you open the link in a new tab? Middle click, right click menu and is this about links in a page?
Also, try the following troubleshooting options:

- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems
- a new profile
- a reinstallation in a new empty folder

Reporter, Please update if you are able to reproduce in safe mode / new profile.
