Attached image Screenshot of issue
Seen while running Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2b1) Gecko/20091014 Firefox/3.6b1. Happens in 10.5 as well.

STR:
1. Open a web page and save the page using File | Save Page As
2. Observe the Namoroka branding shows instead of the Firefox branding.

I checked the Win XP build and it shows the Firefox logo as expected.
Is 3.6b1 set as the default browser ? We've had problems with OSX caching in the past.
When I change the file association for web pages in Mac, I will then get the right branding with the Fx logo. Making 3.6b1 or 3.5.2 as my default web browser doesn't change the logo in the download manager for saved html documents.
In my case using 10.6 I was running with the beta as my default browser.
Seems odd that we would have to do this since I don't recall having to do this step in the past.

Chatting with whimboo on IRC, he thinks this is more an issue of Bug 387834. So the true test would be to have a machine that is fairly clean where Minefield and other pre-release builds have not been used.
marcia, you should also try to drag a url to your desktop. I believe it will have the same icon there. If that's the case the file associations are wrong but we behave correctly in showing up the namoroka icon in the download manager.
Using 10.6 the files show on the desktop with a generic HTML icon, no Firefox or Namoroka icon branding. Using 10.4 the files on the desktop show the Namoroka icon.

And how do the icons in the download manager look like on those platforms? Aren't they the same?
Unfortunately using 10.6 the desktop icon and what shows in Download Manager do not match.

The Safari icon looks similar although it shows "Web" instead of "HTML"
Can you please post a screenshot with the icons on the desktop and the downloads manager shown?
Requested screenshot.
I have checked this mentioned issue with 3.6b1 build 1 and it doesn't look like it's our problem. The icon we show in the Download manager is the same as what the system is using. Please note that the Finder shows previews of those web pages. So the screenshot above isn't helpful. But using the Default Apps pref panel application I can flip the application and the image in the download manager changes accordingly.

Given by comment 5 we should try to get a fix for bug 387834.
