Saw this all platforms
Win32 2000-09-12-09M18
Linux 2000-09-12-08M18
Mac 2000-09-12-08M18
Occurs in both Modern and Classic skins.
NOTE:Problem is more pronounced and noticeable on Mac, but occurs on other
platforms also. Happens on all Sidebar panels, but most noticeable on Buddy List
and News.CNN.com panels.
Steps to repro:
1) Launch seamonkey and when browser appears, click on the "News.CNN.com" panel
to give it focus.
2)Resize browser height such that the panel is resized to roughly 1/3 it's
height, causing the vertical scroll bar to appear in the sidebar Panel for
News.CNN.com.
3)Scroll to the bottom of the scroll bar to see the contents of the bottom of
the panel.
4) Leaving the tack at the bottom of the scroll bar, resize the browser so you
can see the full height of the panel for News.CNN.com again.
Actual results: Scroll bar disappears, but the CNN headline at the top of the
panel("by CNN.com") is either not visible (Mac) or may have it's top portion
chopped off (Win and Linux). On Mac, only the headlines last viewed when
scrolling down in step 3 above are visible underneath it. You cannot scroll up
to see more headlines because the scroll bar is gone. You're forced to resize in
order to get the scroll bar again in order to see it.
Expected results: Scroll bar disappears, and the CNN headline at the top of the
panel (by CNN.com) reappears, with all the headlines viewable underneath it.
Nominating nsbeta3 because this bug affects Aim header at top of sidebar panel
without even going thru resizing. Gives a bad first impression for persons
using IM in sidebar.

I see this problem. Closing an d reopening the Sidebar with the grippy makes
this to work again.

I cannot reproduce this on my windows box with a build from today. I did see it
on Andrew's Mac this morning.
Does this happen to other content areas such as the main browser window?
Yes, oki, I see it on win32 todays build, on browser, with netscape home page.
Resize browser to half it's default height, scroll down to bottom, and then
resize to default height again, you cannot see the top of the netscape home
page.
wait, the scroll bar won't disappear in that case for the NS home page..lemme
see if I can find another better example of it in browser window....
Oki, here is a better example. Go to
http://www.egotloan.com. Resize to half height till a scroll bar appears.
Scroll down.
Resize larger so the scroll bar disappears
The top of the web site is not visible.

Since this happens in the regular browser content area, I am passing this to
Kevin McClusky. It may be related to 27244, 46919, or 41386.
Also, I saw the same problem with the horizontal scrollbar.
