Now that MailNews has tabs it should be made capable of restoring (perhaps accidentally) closed tabs, or at least try as hard as it can (maybe show a notice/notification bar for deleted messages, but not an alert!). Basically just what the browser can do, adapted for MailNews.

Note: We should probably reserve the Ctrl+Shift+T shortcut for this functionality, independent from how soon it is implemented. In other words, make sure this is not grabbed by other parts of MailNews or extensions like Lightning until that day.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/421/ MR Tech Toolkit Addon has taken Ctrl+Shift+T and opens the Add-on Manager with focus on the theme tab.

Well then that extension needs to change since Ctrl+Shift+T is already bound to Undo Close Tab in the browser (both SM and FF). TB will probably take that road, too (bug 504122).
