We need a smaller file to download than a 2.9GB file; Mike was thinking somewhere between 150-200MB (and could be either .mov or .ogg).

1. plays well in Mac OS 10.5 on Fx 3.5.4 
2. plays only audio on Windows (Win Media Player) on IE & Fx

Confirmed with the video team and it's a matter of having the right video codec as we thought. In order to get it to that size we used Quicktime Pro to compress and as such, the h264 codec must be intalled. For reference: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/h264/

Why are we using the H264 codec for videos on our site when we've refused to actually add support for it in <video> due to various reasons?

This video does not play on Windows.
(tested on Win Vista)
