If you double click the close button (the red x) on tabs (i.e. one after another) it won't work. This behavior is intentional; however, I would appreciate it if there was a about:config option that could disable/enable this behavior. Sorry if it already exists, but I was unable to find it.
Reproducible: Always

I can't reproduce this behavior. so
1. can you reproduce started in safe mode?
2. if you can, please go into more detail
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20091220 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Whiteboard: [closeme 2010-02-01]
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
To reproduce:
1. Open a lot of tabs
2. Put your mouse over the red x of the last opened tab
3. Click away and you will see the delay
4. Try the same thing, only this time close them with Ctrl+F4, and they should close very rapidly

I see no issue doing that with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100119 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) ID:20100119123105
Please try safe mode.

I would leave this decision for Dao. What do you think? It is worth having a hidden pref here?
