Running Fx3.6 beta 3 and experiencing odd tab behavior. My tab titles are being cut off mid-character (no lovely "...") and has happened a few times tonight. Each time I've had Facebook open and 5 - 7 tabs. I'm running the following add-ons: * Personas 1.4 * Shareaholic 1.9 * StumbleUpon 3.52 * TestPilot .3 * TextAreaCache 0.5.5 Not sure if this is a known issue. Attaching screen shot as well.
Mary: can you try disabling the Personas Add-on (it's built in to the beta!) and see if that fixes things?
I will for *you*. I'm toggling back and forth between Personas for a video we're working on and had to install it for my sanity.
Hrm...just did that and my URL bar & navigation got wacky (screen shot attached). A small piece of the chrome overlaps the URL bar and I can't open sites from the browser itself. I've tried copy/pasting a URL into it and pulling up Awesomebar history - no luck. I can open links from Adium, tbird, etc, but the displayed URL and tab content are different (i.e. the last URL I tried to open in Firefox displays, but the content for a URL I've accessed externally to Firefox is rendered). Attaching second screen shot as well. Also, I suspect other Personas power users (yah, I am!) might reinstall 1.4 (which disappeared when I installed 3.6 beta3). I really like the "randomizer" of 1.4 and being able to switch Personas from my chrome. But I'll step off of my soap box and try to be helpful here.

Bear with me...I know I sound crazy. All my browser profiles reverted back to 3.0 -- seems to have happened some time after de-installing Personas 1.4 and restarting a few times. Perhaps that is why the URL wonkiness occurred? Not sure what to do!
Mary, looks like we have two separate issues here which could but don't have to be related. So please deactivate all of your add-ons first. Does it work in Safe Mode? If yes one of the other add-ons is the cause. Can you check that please?
I think I got the profiles cleaned up :) I've de-installed Personas 1.4 and haven't run into the tabs issue again (it's been about 2 hours of browsing & have kept Facebook open). Haven't run into the issues shown in comment 4 & 5 again either. I'm gonna play around in the a.m. reinstalling Personas 1.4, but seems like that's the cause. Thanks!
Summary: Tab titles cut off mid-character → Tab titles cut off mid-character [caused by personas?]
Suneel, flagging for your attention; might be a compatibility issue with Firefox 3.6 and Personas 1.4

I've tried reproducing this for a while with no luck yet. Any steps on how to repro this? Thanks

My best guess for this bug is that it was a side-effect of conflicts between the Personas extension and the core Firefox lightweight themes feature that we've since resolved by making the extension use the feature to apply personas instead of applying them itself. If so, then this bug is now fixed, and since Jose can't reproduce using the latest development version of Personas, I'm going to resolve this bug WORKSFORME. However, please do reopen if you see the bug again! It would be especially helpful to see if you can reproduce the bug with Personas 1.5rc1, which includes the fix described above: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/labs/personas/personas-1.5rc1.xpi
