Just as every application has its own keyboard layout and they remember the layout when you switch to them (and hence you don't have to constantly switch the keyboard layout) every tab -- or still better, every tab group, should remember their keyboard layout as one of their properties.
It should not be the case that the user have to switch the layout every time he/she switches between tabs.

This mostly happens for those who type in different languages and is specially annoying when you start typing some words and after you look at the screen you feel: "Arrrg, it's typed in the wrong language! Again I have to delete the entered text, switch the layout, and type the text again in the correct language!"

This function would be especially helpful for those users, who type on different languages.
At the moment I use add-on named TabLang for this.
But I think such possibility should be included into the browser settings.

Plus, not only a tab, but inputs and textareas also has to have this ability too, like any other normal browser does.

The Tab Groups feature has been removed. Duping over to bug 1335668.
