Per conversation with Roland, this will be a FAQ page for moving from TB 2 to 3. 
Currently there are three issues for the FAQ: 

- TB asks for master password even if never set: http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/password_problem31

- master password requested every time http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/restoring_from_osx_dock_master_password_neccessary_every_time (it's fixed in 3.01)

- SMTP authorization: http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/thunderbird_2_to_3_0_upgrade_unable_to_authenticate_to_smtp_server_uncheck_use_name_and_password_for_that_server
