If you have a bookmark folder in bookmark bar and u middle-click it , then pages wont open in background even if u have unchecked "When I open a link in a new tab,switch to it immediately " in tabs' options

Google Chrome doesnt behave like this...
Please fix this for better tabbed browser 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.uncheck "When I open a link in a new tab,switch to it immediately" in tabs' options
2.Have a bookmark folder in book mark bar
3.Middle-click/Ctrl-Click it

Actual Results:  
Tabs open and we are switched to them , i.e they are not opened in background

Expected Results:  
Tabs should open in background

Looks like an extension issue. Please run Firefox in safe mode (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode). Does it happen too or can't you see the behavior then? If it's the latter case disable extensions step by step.

It's more a bookmarks issue as a tabbed browsing one. Mak, is that intended? Any item on the Bookmarks Toolbar behaves that way.

But Firefox allows us to have such option in which tabs are opened in background.It should behave properly but it doesnt when it comes to bookmarks present in a folder. This problem is since versions,, and i dont think its too hard to fix it

Thanks Marco for letting me know about them, but why cant we fix it now? RC is a polish release of 3.6 so a fix can be added now also , its not TOO LATE.
Moreover the option  "When I open a link in a new tab,switch to it immediately" should itself load ALL LINKS in new background tab anyway.

This problem is since Firefox 2 , OMG no-one intended to fix this?

Still a problem on Nightly[1], changing version to Trunk accordingly.

Works fine if browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground is set on TRUE.
