Caret does not indicate where is the place you are typing

Details
When you open the new Composer, the caret does not show at all.
Then, you type some characters in one composer, the caret does not show, either.
It is hard to see where you are typing in composer.
After you open new Composer, the caret will show up in the old composer when you go back to the old composer window to start typing.
Step of reproduce
1. Open Composer (at this time, you cannot see any carets.)
2. Start typing something (still you cannot see any carets.)
3. Open new Composer (in the new composer, you cannot see any carets.)
4. Focus on old Composer and click on some place in it
Notice the caret shows up. Even you click on some place in new composer window, the caret is there.
Tested 2000-09-18-05 Win32 build. I could not reproduce in Linux and Mac build.
