as part of Get Satisfaction MoMo Branding need CNAME for gs.mozillamessaging.com i.e. a CNAME that points FROM gs.mozillamessaging.com to getsatisfaction.com This will be done when the re-branding is complete i.e. 531114
Is that something that will be customer visible? As in, are we going to tell folks to head to http://gs.mozillamessaging.com/ ? if so, I'd recommend a slightly more user-friendly url. http://community-support.mozillamessaging.com/ http://getsatisfaction.mozillamessaging.com/
yeah i am revisiting this, i am currently thinking community.mozillamessaging.com which means we will have urls like: http://community.mozillamessaging.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/email_password_help_resetting_forgotten_password

I believe the URL in comment 2 is too long something like: community.mozmsgi.ng/mozilla_messaging gozer: any other short URL domain names that MoMo has already? or ideas for short domain names for MoMo?
No matter what you pick /mozilla_messaging/ will be also redundant, not great. GS doesn't do something smart when domain CNAMES are used ? > or ideas for short domain names for MoMo? We could just buy whatever domnain we like
the /mozilla_messaging/ bit seems really wrong. Roland, can you put gozer in touch w/ the right person @ GS?
looking at examples out there, I believe the /mozilla_messaging/ part will dissapear, see http://forum.yola.com/ for an example. I've just added gs.mozillamessaging.com as a CNAME to getsatisfaction.com to allow for some testing of this stuff. BTW, Roland, I should probably be made admin of our getsatisfaction site so I can poke around it as well.
gozer you are an admin using this email address gozer @ mozillamessaging.com i think the yola example proves my point: all urls are forum.yola.com/yola/blah e.g. http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/finding_my_site_by_googling_it just like ours will be (for example): gs.mozillamessaging.com/mozilla_messaging gozer: the best way to pursue this is an email to support@getsatisfaction.com please CC: me on any emails to them
THe CNAME is there, once GS fixes their stuff, we could even use it.
