random thoughts based on bug 529734

i'm aware that our current dump output doesn't mention open files, but hypothetically, could we arrange either the current crash reporter or an out of process crash reporter to send the list of open files?

also, more specifically, could crash reporter send a list of the available/active color profiles?

this should perhaps be controllable via an additional checkbox (default off?) in the breakpad ui. the output should not be available from our public crash reporting ui.

severability clause: if you don't want to implement some/all of the suggestions, please rescope to whichever one or ones you are willing to implement. :)

I believe we now record the open file handles in minidumps. I don't think we have interest in recording the information in this bug; it would possibly be too easy to record personal information?

Yes, we added this in bug 1866496 and the data is hidden by default on Socorro because it could contain personal information. Let's mark this fixed given we have added a superset of what was needed here.
