Should be a relatively easy port, as all we need chrome-wise is the ability to show chrome:// url pages in tabs, and put the menu bar icon in, both of which are easily done in Thunderbird.
As a proof of concept study idea, how about:
1. What menu items are used most often? (TB team wants to know what menu items they can get rid of to simplify things)
2. What proportion of users use multiple email accounts? (TB is optimized for multiple account users, but is it too confusing for single-account users?)
Severity: normal → enhancement

Squib has expressed interest in working on this in the near future, so I'm adding him, and while I'm here, we've also got the link https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:UX:Test_Pilot which might be helpful.
