since the last update [Firefox/3.5.6 GTB5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)]I have kind of "ghost page" who stay in firefox.
In fact when I close tabs a previous one appears in place of my igoogle
homepage an I have to click again on the igoogle tab to make it appear.
and if I close all the tabs it stays there like in 510829 and 510073 reports

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open your homepage plus 3 or more tabs
2.have a look on pages 2 or 3 but not the homepage
3.close tabs from 3 to 2 and not your homepage
Actual Results:  
in place of the homepage I have a (for me) random page from  my history

Expected Results:  
showing my homepage

I too have this bug. A ghost tab sometimes appears, which is 1 (or zero) pixel in width and sometimes is selected when you press close button of a nearby tab. This ghost tab does not close with Ctrl-W and does not appear in Panorama. This only started to happen in Beta 4.

I experience the same bug as in comment 2. I didnt find a way to reproduce it and it seems to happen randomly. The Ghost tab is between two tabs AND on the logo of the next Tab. I have TabMixPlus with "tab change on mouseover" installed and when I go over the tab bar, I switch to the ghost tab when mouse is between the 2nd and 3rd tab and when it's on the logo of the 3rd tab (see screenshot).

This bug was reported for the Firefox 3.5 branch, which will be declared officially end-of-life and unsupported soon. I think we may in fact have two separate bugs here by virtue of later comments. (comment 2 says Firefox 4 beta 4 and comment 3 shows beta 5 in the screenshot)

I'm closing the original bug here out as incomplete rather than resurrect it for a new issue.

Timofei Shatrov or jpshadow: Please file a new bug for the new issue, with detailed steps to reproduce the problem starting from a new profile. If you can't do that, then please see comment 1 and figure out which extension developer you need to report the problem to.
