You need to login to the proxy server manually (authentication popup) to be able to browse the internet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new profile 2. Enter proxy settings under Tools->Options->Advanced->Network->Connection Settings 3. Try to browse some site e.g. www.mozilla.org Actual Results: Proxy server Authentication window appears Expected Results: Do not prompt for proxy authentication, just show the internet site This is a regression, the nightly from 14-12-2009 works fine (build from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.2/rev/72daa308d3a6) The nightly from 15-12-2009 fails (build from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.2/rev/e2a652b99570) It looks like bug 533529 caused this problem

Have you tested today's nightly, a patch landed yesterday to address a bug in that patch. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.2/ Or this could be bug 535193.
I've tested with today's nightly. The problem is gone! Thanks for the quick fix.
