Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2b3) Gecko/20091115 Firefox/3.6b3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2b3) Gecko/20091115 Firefox/3.6b3 After Firefox has been open for some amount of time, which has yet to be determined, anything that creates a new window causes a crash. For example, when clicking a link that opens a new (small) window to ask for a password, the application crashes. Upon reopening, the same link works fine, leading me to believe that it is time-dependent or a condition that is due to being open for long periods of time. Also occurs when dragging a tab out into its own window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Leave Firefox open (a few hours should do it, I usually have it open all day). 2. Open a new window, click a link that spawns on, or detach a tab. 3. Crash! 4. After reopening Firefox, the issue disappears. Actual Results: Crash. Expected Results: It is expected that the new window opens successfully. It may be important that my home directory is not on the system drive. My home directory is /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/chris/ and /Users/chris is symlinked to it. Next time the crash occurs, I will include a stack trace and other such information.

If you can include the crash ID from about:crashes that would be helpful.
Chris: This looks to be a dupe of Bug 530567. But I will note your STR in that bug since they may be able to enlighten the devs as to what might be going on.
