536979 - Everything shuts down when I get a new IM

I can not do anything on firefox if I get an IM on facebook until I check the IM window, like it doesn't let me type, refresh, or do anything.  This problem is gets worse when I am IMing more than one person at a time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open facebook
2.Open another tab and start doing stuff
3.get an IM by 1 or more (it's worst if you have more than 1)
4.try and do anything - it won't happen
Actual Results:  
It gets laggy and wont let me do anything

Expected Results:  
It should of ran smoothly and not laggy and let me do stuff without checking the IM

Does this behavior still happen if you use Firefox's safe mode? a new profile? clean reinstall? All steps are outlined in http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+troubleshooting

Do you have an up to date version of Adobe's Flash player? Which is used in the Facebook IM program. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

To fully troubleshoot hangs we need some very technical information https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg . If you re unable to provide this info please comment in this bug
