Open http://www.wetter.com/wetter_aktuell/niederschlagsradar/deutschland/
there is a "flash video" that shows current clouds and rain of Germany.
In the lower right corner there is a control panel where you can adjust start/stop time.

We're in the process of removing support for plugins (bug 1677160), so I think this bug is irrelevant now.
