Details
on 20091229 with the 1.9.2 nightly build on my n810, I do this:
1) load msn.com
2) in the same tab, load yahoo.com
3) observe the crash
for some reason the raw loading of yahoo.com from a fresh launch of the browser doesn't crash Fennec, but doing it from another site (I used msn.com in this example) was the culprit.
Turning plugins off resolved the problem and my browsing worked.

is it just msn.com loaded in the background tab, or any site (say google.com).

fresh launch (assuming you have logged into yahoo.com and checked save credentials), load msn.com, then pull up the awesome bar and load yahoo.com.
1 tab and 1 tab only. Verified with the rc1build2 on my n810 this morning.

Please visit this page and report back the version info:

Jethro, the version uses the ImageExpose event and it isn't clear if the bug is with the browser or the plugin (which is maemo). If you are interested in fixing this bug, please product a stack as a starting point.
I do not think there is much value in fixing this bug (it is on the n810s which is barely still supported, and flash is disabled in Firefox on Maemo because of performance).
