Details

Visit most sites with elaborate favicons, and verify its pixelated looking in the URL. (eg. Dino head at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/about/) Also try virginamerica.com Repro: 1) Using N900, Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv71; en-US; rv:1.9.2b6pre) Gecko/20091229 Fennec/1.0b6pre 2) goto About Us page (see URL). 3) Verify favicon in URL is pixelated looking. Expected: - favicons should be smoother Actual: - favicons are pixelated in the awesomebar
favicons are shown at 32px so the image is not tiny. Mobile devices are high DPI so 16px would be comically small. Stretching a 16px image to 32px will pixelate it, but we are willing to live with that until websites start supporting higher resolution favicons.
