User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 GTB6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 GTB6
Situation: one domain has two systems, located in separate sub-directories, each with it's own username/password. Firefox's saved password is limited to the domain level and cannot be edited to be more precise. Consequently, Firefox fills in username and password identically for both pages.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.create two login pages in the same domain at separate sub-directories
2.create unique username/password accounts for each
3.access either login page, save password when prompted (Firefox)
4.access other login
Actual Results:
login text boxes will be pre-filled and login will fail
Expected Results:
1. register login URL with complete addresses
2. allow saved URLs (site) in password security to be edited <-*!*
3. Both
I have given this a severity of MINOR, WORKAROUND AVAILABLE which means it will never be worked on.
It should have a higher PRIORITY however, because it is confusing, aggravating and subtle. Most users will not realize the conditions and will simply be frustrated. Ease of use and customer satisfaction are NOT minor details.
