User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091206 SeaMonkey/2.0.1

The web site, a dictionary for Danish dialects, references specifically designed phonetic fonts (downloadable as http://www.jyskordbog.dk/hjemmesider/jyskiso.exe). I've installed these fonts as prescribed in my Ubuntu 9.10 OS, ie in the directories ~/.fonts and /usr/share/fonts. When I access the web page with non-Mozilla browsers like Konqueror and Google Chrome, I do see the phonetic fonts displayed, but not in Firefox 3.5.6 and SeaMonkey 2.0.1.

I've prepared 2 screen shots to demonstrate the problem

Google Chrome: http://www.icking-music-archive.org/cmo/musik/outgoing/Screenshot-Jysk-Ordbog-Google-Chrome.png

SM 2.0.1: http://www.icking-music-archive.org/cmo/musik/outgoing/Screenshot-Jysk-Ordbog-SeaMonkey.png

From another Mozilla user I've got a confirmation, that these fonts do get displayed with SeaMonkey 1.1.18

Reproducible: Always
Confirmed in SeaMonkey 2.0.1, 2.0.2pre and Firefox 3.5.6. However the problem does not occur in SeaMonkey 1.1.18. Attaching screentshots showing the page in 1.1.18 and OpenOffice.org to show the font in use on the system.

I should add that this may be a linux only issue. Testing w/SeaMonkey 2.0.1 and Firefox 3.5.6 in Windows shows the fonts displayed properly. I was not able to test on a Mac.
I tested SeaMonkey 2.0.2 RC Build 1 [1] on Mac OS X 10.5.8 PPC and after installing the fonts from here [2] I see the right characters.
So this seems a Linux only issue.

The font file availble for download seems to be a Windows executable file (.exe) . Have you uncompressed the fonts (.ttf files) before placing in ~/.fonts ?
How does the problem itself look (Christian's screenshots are not available anymore)?

I've tried with Firefox nightly builds 20100401 and 20110527 for Linux x86-64, but when the font RJyskISONN or RJyskISONN is used, the relevant characters appear as small black rectangles (the IJyskISONN font does not seem to get used).

Also, the fonts do not appear in Firefox's list if they are only in the ~/.fonts directory of the X.Org's, not Firefox's user.

I haven't tried with other programs.

(Note that it's a ZIP file, unpackable with unzip.)

I still don't get the RJyskISONN fonts displayed on my Ubuntu 10.10 station when accessing http://www.jyskordbog.dk/ordbog/ Mozilla browsers (Firefox 3.6.17, SeaMonkey 2.0.14). The fonts do work with the Chromium browser (11.0.696.68). See attachments
Confirmed. I see exactly the same as Christian (comments 10 & 11):
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1
Sorry, forgot to add:
Chromium
11.0.696.71 (86024) Ubuntu 10.10
Google Chrome
11.0.696.71
Oh, I understand now: the font is referenced in CSS which is referenced by the frame.

It is indeed not used automatically by Firefox Aurora 20110527.

It is used automatically by Epiphany 2.30.6 (WebKit).
Summary: Truetype fonts referenced in the above mentioned web page are not displayed → Truetype fonts referenced in the above mentioned web page's CSS are not used/displayed
Aleksej : Dom Inspector shows that the "font-family" in "Computed Style" for the \<p\> is indeed IJyskISONN or RJyskISONN.
On on Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze x86_64 with many packages from "testing":
WFM with 20080918020356
Reproducible with 20081107015834

The builds in between do not start, with pango-related crashes. That may be the months when Pango/Cairo support was added… (although builds might work on other systems with other libraries)
Sure. Give me a few minutes to download & setup.
Nope. Still not being used (same display as Christian's attachment in comment #10.

Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110527 Firefox/7.0a1 SeaMonkey/2.2a1pre
Note: I also tried it with a clean test profile to ensure that it wasn't something in myh exisiting profile. Do you want me to try with Firefox as well?
Did it anyway: same results in Firefox nightly 7.0a1 (why can't they make the build identifier so it can be copy & pasted as in SeaMonkey?).

FWIW, the site appears to work correctly for me on Ubuntu 15.10 when I extract jyskiso.exe to ~/.fonts.
