Determine and implement whatever Metrics tools we need for browserchoice.mozilla.com
For browserchoice.mozilla.com ideally we could track, per locale page: Unique users Download conversion Exit link Country of user Browser (ie. which IE) Length of visit I need to discuss with Jonathn and Ken still, but this seems like it would give us all we need to gauge how the page was performing. I will check with them too. Does this request seem reasonable from an implementation perspective?
Should we just implement Omniture? When is this page/site expected to go live?
Site expected to go live in early March and to live for at least 5 years. Omniture sounds great to me.
I've implemented the code from the IT/OmnitureSetup wiki on http://browserchoice.stage.mozilla.com/ account is 'browserchoice-dev' for stage. that can change for production. What needs to be done in the Omniture webapp?
Hi, This goes live to users Feb 23rd - who is driving setup for Omniture webapp? Patrick
Blake should we be using omniture or webtrends for this?

Let's use Omniture.
The Omniture code is checked in. The account is currently 'browserchoice-dev' for stage and dev sites. When we set up the production site, we can change this in a config file. Someone probably needs to set this up within the Omniture app, right? Also, I need to know what changes need to be made for the move to Webtrends and when. Thanks.

I don't belive we need to set anything up in Omniture. Jeremy, is this right? With respect to WebTrends, we haven't made a final decision yet and won't know timing details until we have a signed contract. That said, I'll keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
Summary: Implement metrics → Add browserchoice.mozilla.com to Omniture
I'll create the profile when I configure the app.

When do you expect to have this done Jeremy?
Created. Profile id is "mozillabrowserchoicemozillacom".

Can someone from the Metrics team verify this? Thanks!
I see the report suite and live data in Omniture. Patrick -- please work with Blake regarding any of the specifics you mentioned in comment #1.

Where is the data in Omniture? Alex and I cannot see it in dashboard. Blake and I will meet later in the week on producing the reports.
When you go to the site drop down list in the upper left hand corner, are you not able to find browserchoice.mozilla.com? The report suite and data is definitely there, so if you're not seeing it, there may be a simple admin setting for us to change.

It should work now (as well as opentochoice.org). I just had to flip a switch in the admin settings.
works. thanks!
After reviewing the data available with Blake, we think that neither country data nor time-per-visit are enabled with current setup. Country data is especially important (we need to see the delta between country and locale). Please could you check ?

I see country data and missing time per visit would be a problem on omniture's side. Either way, since this site is so low traffic I recommend removing visitor sampling.
Changed in r63374. Needs tagged for production.

(In reply to comment #22) > I see country data and missing time per visit would be a problem on omniture's > side. Either way, since this site is so low traffic I recommend removing > visitor sampling. This site is in pilot right now, and has been since Tuesday. The link to this site will be exposed to approx 190 million users in the next two months. We may estimate that only a fraction of those users will visit it, but it will still be quite high traffic.
Blake do we need sampling on for this site?
No, we don't. I assume we can remove sampling here without doing so for mozilla.com?
Yep, I've already checked in the change. Someone just needs to tag it now.
Stas, tagged and filed a push bug 548924
