We've got someone interested in contributing to Bulgarian localization of support, but I don't see it in the admin panel. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/3/552158
I will contribute. So, can you, please add the locale?
Bogomil: How do you say "Bulgarian" in Bulgarian?
Assignee: nobody → paulc
Created attachment 422256 [details] [diff] [review] adds bulgarian as [bg] I don't know if we should wait to add gettext(), it might take a while. Anyway, this patch is simple. To see the locale in action, you must enable it at tiki-admin.php?page=i18n It will then show up at tiki-edit_languages.php

Who can apply this patch?
There are a few steps involved here. First, this is a SUMO 1.6 bug, and SUMO 1.5.1 is being tested in preparation to be applied to support.mozilla.com soon. Once SUMO 1.5.1 is done, then the SUMO 1.6 bugs can be checked in for testing. Testing will take place on our staging server - http://support-stage.mozilla.org/ . username:password is support:stage . We usually sync the databases a day after pushing code to support.mozilla.com, so if your account isn't already on the staging server, it will be soon. There is no date set yet, for when SUMO 1.6 will be applied to support.mozilla.com. There is usually at least a month between code pushes.
Paul, I'm a little confused as to what I'm supposed to see here. It just gets added to the list of languages?
(In reply to comment #8) > Paul, I'm a little confused as to what I'm supposed to see here. It just gets > added to the list of languages? Yes. And then it needs to be enabled in the admin interface.
I did that, but then what? When I go to /bg/kb, everything is still in English. What's the expected result, here?
(In reply to comment #10) > I did that, but then what? When I go to /bg/kb, everything is still in English. > What's the expected result, here? Good question. 1. Apply patch 2. Enable [bg] at tiki-admin.php?page=i18n Test: * it shows up in the dropdown at tiki-edit_languages.php (so contributors can edit the language table) * it shows up in My Account (user prefs) * you can additionally check that you can make the interface translator work with it, if you wish, by setting your language to [bg] and using the translator.
Comment on attachment 422256 [details] [diff] [review] adds bulgarian as [bg] Based on that ER, this seems to work fine. Maybe we can land this in 1.5.2?

Verified FIXED; I enabled it at https://support-stage.mozilla.com/tiki-admin.php?page=i18n, saw it appear in https://support-stage.mozilla.com/tiki-edit_languages.php, and now get the notice: "This article has not yet been translated to Български (bg). Perhaps you could help us with that? Just click translate this page and follow the instructions." at the top of: https://support-stage.mozilla.com/bg/kb/Will+Firefox+work+on+Windows+7

Hi Bogo, I'll email you some introductory material, just as soon as the databases are synchronized (bug 547757).
I have now enabled bg on prod.
