From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.12-20 i586; en-US; m18) Gecko/20000924 BuildID: It used to be that I could download a tarball for Linux that included the talkback feature. I can't do that anymore. AFAIK, the only way to get Talkback on Linux is to run the installer program. Is there something that's keeping Talkback from working otherwise? I use a cron job to automatically download and unpack Mozilla daily. It'd sure make my testing more productive if I was able to use Talkback builds again.

use the installer build. we only delivered talkback tarballs as a temporary measure until the installer was ready. There are many ways you could automate that with a script. Two most obvious are grab the tarball, then extract the talkback.xpi into the same directory. Or grab all the linux .xpis for the installer and extract them all into the same directory. won't fix.

Jon, Where is this talkback.xpi file? After doing an install w/ talkback, I see a "talkback" folder in the components directory, but no talkback.xpi file anywhere. Simply copying the talkback folder doesn't work. Any suggestions?
talkback.xpi is in the datedir/linux-xpi directory on ftp.mozilla.org. e.g. ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2000-09-26-11-M18/linux-xpi/talkback.xpi
