User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set option for "show my windows and tabs from last time" 2. Exit Firefox 3. Restart Firefox. Automatic upgrade to Firefox/3.5.7 applied. 4. None of the open windows and tabs from last time appear.
I also noticed the same problem several times in the past when Firefox applied an upgrade.
I just had this happen to me. I upgraded to version 3.6 of firefox. I also have "clear history when firefox closes" unchecked"
Persisting tabs from last time also fails for Firefox 3.6.6 for Mac OS X. User agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 Reproducing 1. Set Firefox - Preferences - General - Startup - When Firefox starts = "Show my windows and tabs from last time". 2. Open several tabs in Firefox window (e.g. http://www.mozilla.org/, http://www.google.com/, http://www.w3.org/). 3. Choose the command Firefox - Quit Firefox. 4. Launch Firefox again. Expected result: Firefox should open and show the tabs from the last session (http://www.mozilla.org/, http://www.google.com/, http://www.w3.org/ for my case). Actual result: Firefox opens and shows the only tab with the home page (http://en-US.start3.mozilla.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official in my case). Please, fix this bug.
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
If anyone can still reproduce and doesn't have "clear history when firefox closes" selected on the privacy pane, please check the sessionstore.js file in your profile after you shut down Firefox. Does it list the tabs you had open?
