I'll do the prep here since Ben is super-busy.

Mike, this is an update of the file we used for 3.5 fixing the version and the release date. It'd require http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/comingsoon not redirect elsewhere.

index.html to wallpaper over files before release time

I've updated www.mozilla.com/firefox/comingsoon so that this works.

You can start seeding mirrors whenever, as far as I'm concerned.

This is a slightly tweaked version of what was used for QA to test the 3.5.7 -> 3.6rc2 major update version (attachment 422134 [details]). I'll attach a diff and justify each change there.

From the top down:
* beta-dir is dropped because we haven't enabled beta and release MU's separately, so lets just put all the end-user snippets in one folder and do one pushsnip
* reset the testchannels back to the usual values in prep for next time we do a 3.5.x to 3.6.y MU, and get us a releasetest for QA to check tomorrow
* the important bit is the two changes to url in <partial> and <complete>, which gives metrics a better shot an tracking 3.5.7 users who update vs pave-over install
* fix betatest-url for next time
* remove the prettyVersion from the <3.6rc2> block, which isn't user visible because they get the "billboard"

In contrast to the equivalent on bug 500442 I've set build = 1, because bug 500471 is fixed now and the version bumping steps in Tag will be a no-op (like 3.6rc2 build1).

I like this format better because it makes diffing easier, but we can revert it later if it causes issues to a bumper script.

... on the default branch. I think this is right based on http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.platform/browse_frm/thread/8220678566b828fd#

Depending what happens with Fennec 1.0 RC3 we may need a milestone bump on the relbranch too, but I'm going to leave that in Aki's capable hands. I bet it's going to be simpler to understand if a new relbranch is cut from default though.
