User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.1 Firefox/3.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.1 Firefox/3.6 On some website, although Ogg/Theora videos are properly played, they cannot be resumed after a pause ; the button switches from pause to play and vice versa, but the video remains paused. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://people.xiph.org/~greg/video/ytcompare/bbb_theora_486kbit.ogv 2. Let the video play for a while 3. Click on the pause button or pause option in the context menu 4. Click on the play button or play option in the context menu Actual Results: The video does not resume Expected Results: The video should have resumed I was able to reproduce this bug on several locations : http://people.xiph.org/~greg/video/ytcompare/bbb_theora_486kbit.ogv http://techne.cse.ucsc.edu/media/house_proceeding_11-07-09.ogg?t=0:03:05/0:04:12 http://olpc.dailymotion.com/cdn/OGG-320x240/video/x43efw.ogg?auth=1264321958-a9a8190e852acaf77d6c6cf27239573d However, videos from the Theora test suite (http://wiki.xiph.org/TheoraTestsuite) can all be resumed except one : http://v2v.cc/~j/theora_testsuite/pixel_aspect_ratio.ogg
I noticed that if I move the cursor to another point of time in the video after the video has been paused, I can resume the video : Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://people.xiph.org/~greg/video/ytcompare/bbb_theora_486kbit.ogv 2. Let the video play for a while 3. Click on the pause button or pause option in the context menu * 3.1. Move the cursor somewhere else on the time line * 4. Click on the play button or play option in the context menu Actual Results: The video *DOES* resume
I can't reproduce your problem on Windows but I do see a problem with your second link: http://techne.cse.ucsc.edu/media/house_proceeding_11-07-09.ogg?t=0:03:05/0:04:12 Indeed it has problems to resume; it hesitates for about 10-15 seconds. The position of the mouse makes no difference. So possibly we are not talking about the same bug.
I cannot either reproduce it on Windows. I will try on Linux x86.
dupe of 526411? fwiw, i can repro the issue in comment 1.
