Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
Prior to updating to 3.6 (it worked up through 3.5.7), if there was an html encoded e-mail message, I was able to use Eudora's "Open in Browser" to view it in a Firefox window. When I try this in Firefox 3.6, nothing happens. This is using Eudora 6.2.4 for Mac OS X.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Using Eudora 6.2.4 for OS X, select an html encoded message
2. From Eudora's File Menu, select "Open in Browser"
3.
Actual Results:
If Firefox 3.6 is already running, nothing happens. If Firefox 3.6 is not running, the action causes Firefox to start and a blank window is opened.
Expected Results:
A Firefox window should open displaying the e-mail message properly rendered.
Again, this function worked just fine in all Firefox versions prior to 3.6.

I tested on an Intel Mac and had the same problem. Downgraded both Intel and PPC Macs to Firefox 3.5.7 and the Eudora "Open in Browser" feature works fine. This issue is specific to Firefox 3.6.

I'm experiencing the same problem as Marty Sachs, also on an Intel Mac (running OS 10.6.2) and Eudora 6.2.4. However, it is only when trying to get an entire Eudora message to "Open in Browser" that the routine fails -- clicking on a link inside a message DOES open a new Firefox browser window.
If I select a Eudora message and choose "Open in Browser," Firefox 3.6 switches to the foreground, but no other action occurs. In Firefox 3.5.4, selecting "Open in Browser" switches to Firefox and opens a new browser window.
If I double click on a link inside a Eudora message, the link opens in a new tab in Firefox -- both in 3.5.4 and 3.6.

OK, after doing a bit of searching, I found: https://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&forumId=1&comments_parentId=503024.
Apparently this Eudora "Open in Browser" issue is related to the "Space in file name" issue: bug 530064.

Here via thread on Macintouch. I'm having the same problem as the rest; nothing more to add to it. MacOSX 10.6.2, Eudora 6.2.4.
Flash behavior is better, and I like how tabs open up next to the spawning page, so I'll stay with the new Firefox instead of downgrading, but this is hampering me a bit.
Bug 530064 has a patch that's fixed this on trunk, and approval has been requested to get the fix in Fx 3.6.1 (or .2, whatever it ends up being named).

I found the same issue with another application. Firefox 3.6 does not respond to an "Preview in" command in Dreamweaver, which worked fine in Firefox 3.5.7.
MacOS X 10.5.8 on Intel Mac mini.
