Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) When the browser crashes, plugins are installed and require a restart, or when "open all in new tab" bookmarks, it asks for my username/password for each opened tab (if they where separate windows, no issue), even if they all point to the same domain. But if I enter my username/password on the first time, and cancel on all other username/passwords, then hit refresh on all those pages that could not be refreshed because I canceled logging in, it shows up. Could you make it so that it recognizes identical domains & pauses all other pages from loading from that domain until you either enter a username/password, or click on that tab specifically? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to several sites which requires Username/Password (ftp protocol, or otherwise). 2. Log in and have multiple tabs open. 3. Use the Bookmark all tabs feature, install a plugin which requires restart, or crash firefox such that when opening it backup, all tabs are restored. 4. Close firefox if it isn't already. 5. Open firefox and 'open all in tab' feature if sites bookmarked. Actual Results: Every tab requires an individual log in. Expected Results: Only one log in is opened for that domain, and all others are paused until that log in has been tried. Then they continue to load. Clicking on a tab that requires log in should continue to open additional log-ins. If this issue cannot be fixed without being able to detect sites which require log-in's efficiently, this issue should not be fixed, as doing so may decrease the performance of normal tabs opening. But if pausing and refreshing multiple tabs with log-in after the first log-in for that domain is done causes a delay, that would be acceptable as logging into each tab requires more time than refresh the tab would would cause (since no or not much content is loaded anyways).
This covers 2 bugs (one for normal pages, the other for HTTPAuth), but mostly bug 499233.

Sorry, I read that too quickly, not a dupe.

I should have clearly stated that it is not form based username/password, but dialog based, so no password manager would be required to fix this.

But this is a dupe of bug 475053, unless I'm misreading it?
It very well could be...since it is talking about master username/password.
