Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the add-ons manager
2. Pan down and select a recommended addon
3. Click on "Add to Firefox"
4. Quickly, move to another pane (i.e. downloads or preferences managers), before the add-on has started the progress bar
Actual Results:
The add-on pop up dialog comes up on the new pane
Expected Results:
The add-on pop-up dialog should not pop-up as I've already decided to "Add to Firefox"

Since you are not still looking at the Add-on Manager, we popup the alerts to let you know what's happening.
Unless you mean a different add-on popup. Can you be more specific?

Ah, yeah, I meant the pop-up that asks the user whether to install the add-on or cancel the download/install is the one that comes up. The notification pop-ups are fine.
