This sounds like an error in an extension - likely the Thunder extension. Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode If it doesn't occur in Safe Mode then try disabling the Thunder extension and see if that solves it. The extension may not be compatible with 3.6 yet.
