i am using Fire Download, an add-on to speed up downloads. My system prompted me for a java update. i saw an offer to download Open Office for free from a mirror site. the file is 150 MB. it crashed my firefox twice. yesterday at the 116 MB mark and today at 140 something MB mark. crash could not be reported by firefox. it says 'could not move crash dump'.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. browse the given url
2. select 'accelerate' with Fire Download
3. click 'save file'
Actual Results:
the browser closed all tabs and gave an error message that the crash could not be reported.
Expected Results:
ideally this download should have gone fine. but, at least the crash should have been reported
i am using Fire Download 1.1.7 on firefox 3.5.7 and OS is Windows XP Service Pack 3. My system has core 2 quad 2.33 GHz processor with 4 GB RAM
