Mook has done the leg work for MSVC 7, see

I'm trying with the MSVC 9 toolchain, but I don't expect that to make much difference.  (A bit more of a PITA to set up, but that's just a matter of copying around some DLLs.)

Will update Mook's patches, working off of http://hg.mozilla.org/users/cjones_mozilla.com/wincc.
