Details

Attempting to run the secunia online software inspection freezes minefield. Killing the mozilla-runtime.exe process unfreeze minefield.

STR:
1) Load http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online/
2) Click start at the bottom of the page
3) Minefield freezes when the java applet launches asking you to run the applet
Although I am able to actually launch the applet and start the scan, I can confirm that this site does cause Minefield to hang during the scan and killing the mozilla-runtime.exe un-hangs the browser.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100129 Firefox/3.7a1pre (hourly build 20100129113118), Win7 Pro x64, Java 1.6.0_18.
crash after killig mozilla-runtime
http://www.gamehouse.com/play-game/gamehouse-sudoku-online starts loading Java, and firefox freezes on that tab. Process Explorer is showing soemthing new to me, mozilla-runtime.exe
After killing mozilla-runtime.exe the sudoko page (which was frozen) continues loading, and after showing the page, but not tzhe board drawn by java, crashes.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100130 Minefield/3.7a1pre

Working:

http://www.h-online.com/security/services/Java-747799.html
is testing the Java installation: works

Process explorer shows mozilla-runtime.exe loading java.exe, page loads a working applet, showing version 1.6.0_17

After updating Minefield, all was working

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100131 Minefield/3.7a1pre

Hermann Schwab, I'm completely confused about what your entire comment has to do with the secunia software inspection freezing Minefiel. Did you just find some random OOPP bug to put all of this information into? If so, please file separate bugs for these issues. Thanks.
using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100420 Minefield/3.7a5pre ID:20100420040941

and Java Plug-in 6.0.200.2 on
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online/?task=load

with starting the test, letting it run for a few and the hit stop i get a crash:

Resolving old bugs which are likely not relevant any more, since NPAPI plugins are deprecated.
